Outline of Commission Process
- Initial Concept – We’ll meet in-person or online to speak about your desired garment and budget. From there we’ll work out what your options are for a finished look.
This first meeting is free. There is a $50 deposit before scheduling the second meeting and fitting. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your garment if you decide to move forward after receiving a quote. - Fitting – During this meeting I’ll collect your measurements. I can do this in person or we can have a virtual meeting where I will talk you through the process of taking your own measurements.
- Quote – I’ll send you a set of potential designs for your garment along with potential material choices with a range of quotes and delivery times for each. This will usually be during your fitting, but sometimes a few days later.
- Final Concept – We’ll go over the proposed design options and make the final decision on cut and material.
An additional deposit of ¼ the final price is required before construction on your garment begins. This is necessary so that I can purchase material for your garment. - Delivery – Once your garment is complete, you can arrange to pick it up in person or have it shipped to you. Payment for the remaining costs must be confirmed before the garment can be shipped.
- Adjustments – Upon receipt, you can try on the finished garment to test the fit and comfort. If necessary, you can contact me with photos clearly showing any issues with the fit and ship the garment back for adjustment without extra charge.
